Christmas Parade Entry For 2024

The Deadline for all entries is November 24, 2024
THE DEADLINE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
An entry fee of $40.00 PER entry and MUST be paid at the time of registration.
Please make checks payable to Vinton Area Chamber of Commerce Or via Debit/Credit Card

A $40.00 fee will be charged for any returned check.
NO refunds will be given after the deadline date.

(Each entry fee is limited to 3 vehicles and no more than 80 total feet in length)
NO refunds will be given for these reasons as the same expenses are involved. We appreciate your understanding of these situations beyond our control.

  • Each entry is limited to THREE (3) vehicles max. This includes trailers, pulling vehicles, etc.
  • Each entry is limited to no more than 80 feet in total length. This includes trailers, pulling vehicles, etc.
  • All floats must keep in mind the purpose of this event and decorate accordingly.
  • Please do NOT have a Santa on your float, as “Santa” will be the special guest at the end of the parade.
  • Floats & walking groups WILL NOT be allowed to stop during the parade to perform. All performances must occur while float and participants are in motion. Please keep up with the float directly in front of you.
  • NO items may be thrown from or handed out an entry along parade route for safety purposes. Police officers will be monitoring.
  • Cars must have mufflers. Race cars must be on a trailer and must be appropriately decorated.
  • No commercial vehicles permitted unless pulling a float, or with appropriate decoration.
  • Live Animals will be allowed in parade with prior approval by the Christmas Parade Committee Chair and it will be the responsibility of the float organizer to CLEAN UP after the animal DURING the parade (not after), as it is not fair to other float participants to step over animal waste.
  • NO Alcoholic Beverages are allowed at the line-up area or in the parade.
  • The ONLY vehicles allowed in the line-up area are those registered in the parade. Participants and/or Parents of Participants are to park in the downtown area and walk to the line-up area.

Staging Area does NOT allow participants to be dropped off at the floats. Please plan accordingly.
A few days before the parade, entrants will receive their line-up number and time to be at the line-up area.
Please inform all participants with your LINE-UP NUMBER. All entrants are asked to be On Time and

MUST be in place by 5:45, as roads will close promptly at 6pm.

IF YOUR ENTRY INVOLVES A GROUP OF PEOPLE, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE EACH PERSON KNOWS ALL OF THE ABOVE RULES AND LINE UP #.

Cash prizes will be awarded in various categories.
